Give us this day, our daily bread

2Cor:5:21

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,[a] so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

I cannot begin to tell you how many people tell me that they can’t pray because they don’t go to church. It’s amazing. Or that they cannot pray because they messed up in one way or the other. I make no excuses for sin, but the enemy will continually hit you with a hammer to make you feel that you are not righteous enough to go before God. So what do you do? Instead of praying for yourself, you run to someone whom you think is more ‘spiritual’ than you.
Can I tell you something? I have learned this the hard way. Don’t depend on anyone to pray for you. I am not saying that the prayers of others for you don’t matter. Because sometimes you need someone to agree with.  But many times when people say that they are “praying for you”, 90% of the time they forget. Each of us has her own loads to deal with, and even with the best intentions, we can forget to pray for others.

Getting back to the point, no one can pray for your situation quite like you can. No one. You know you. And you know exactly what you want, because God has placed His spirit inside of you to help you articulate your desires. Even as you are learning to use the Word of God, you can still use the little that you know to go before God.

The enemy will tell you that you can’t pray, you’re too tired to pray, your prayers don’t make sense when you have unforgiveness. It’s important to understand that anything or any voice that hinders you from praying, is not of God. God is not a condemning God. To counter this, you must muster up the energy and find scriptures that tell you that God has made you righteous. Whatever sin is hindering you from praying, deal with it. As long as you have been born again and baptized into Christ, the Word of God says that you are now clothed in his righteousness. That does not mean that you won’t make a mistake or fall out of line, but as long as you are in Christ you are clothed in his Righteousness.

Therefore, when you pray, God does not see your flaws, your cracks, your mistakes, He sees your Righteous garment. This is why when we pray, we say “In the name of Jesus”, When we present that argument, God’s covenant with His son, becomes His covenant with us, because we are in His Robe of Righteousness.

So here’s the challenge. Even before you start praying, put on your armor. The robe of righteousness will shield you from condemnation attacks of the enemy. Tell him

1. I have been bought with a price.

2. I belong to God and I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

3. I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus

4. I am forgiven of all my sins.

5. I am the elect of God,

6. And when I pray, my prayers hit heaven as Bull’s eye because I am made righteous.

Once you have done that, start your battle of prayer.
