Testimony: Mmmm. God is interesting. I have been praying for God to open the door for a particular aspect of my life for a while. Anyway, yesterday, I saw God show up in the situation that I had given up on. I had completely given up on it. But God had not. It’s a work in progress…, this thing. But when I got home, I asked God why had he done that. Why? And why did He do it that way? Why did he allow me to be in that particular spot at that particular time? He reminded me of the prayer point I have been making regarding that situation and what my last prayer request was. It went something like this “God I pray that you would order my steps and re-position me so that (this situation would change)”.
I’ve learned something. God is listening to our prayers. It may seem as if He’s not because we don’t see fruit manifested immediately. But every prayer that we give God, it hits Him as bull’s eye and He puts the plan into action immediately. When we continue to pray for it, it’s just a reminder. But it’s like telling your friend to cook your favourite meal, when she already has the pot on the stove. Instead of asking her to cook, you should be saying, “thanks for cooking, I can smell it from here”. I think that’s what God wants from some of us now. You’ve asked. He’s a good father. While it’s good to remind Him what you need, just give Him thanks for doing it. Cuz you know what? He heard you.
Another thing, is that God may not give you perfection in your situation when you want it. Your standard of perfection is much lower than His. So trust Him. He’s got it all in control.
God reminded me yesterday, that “Hey, I’ve heard you. I am working on it”. Prayer works. Don’t quit. Don’t stop praying. Even when you don’t see things happening, God is working behind the scenes.
